There is a wide variety of offences which can be tried in the Crown Court, either because deemed to be unsuitable for a Magistrates’ Court (in reason of the seriousness or complexity), or because you decide that you would prefer your case to be heard in the Crown Court.

In a Crown Court, you can expect a jury consisting of 12 local people randomly selected from the electoral roll to decide whether you are guilty or innocent.
